Περιγραφή δράσης

Our school has taken a well-rounded approach to teaching eSafety, using a variety of methods to engage students with Cyberbullying, Being responsible online, Challenges of the Internet etc. Presentations, short clips, role plays, and worksheets all offer different ways of understanding and applying eSafety principles, which is great for accommodating different learning styles.

Role Plays

• Objective: Help students practice how to respond to cyberbullying in a safe, controlled environment.
• How: Role plays allow students to practice different scenarios in which they may encounter cyberbullying. They could take on the roles of the bully, the victim, and the bystander, which gives them a fuller understanding of each perspective.
• What we Include: Scenarios like:
• A student receives hurtful comments online. How can they respond to the bully or seek support?
• A student sees a friend being cyberbullied. How can they intervene safely, either online or by offering support in person?
•  A bystander receives a message that involves excluding or bullying another person. What is the best way to intervene or report it?
• After each role play, we will discuss about the responses. Ask the students what worked well, what could have been done differently, and why it’s important to be an active bystander in bullying situations.
